The Kiwi digital magazine dedicated to tiny home living
There is a new revolution taking place around the world and across New Zealand. People who are looking for a better lifestyle with less stress and more time to do the activities they want to do are building or buying tiny homes and becoming mortgage FREE.
For many people, this is a way to enjoy life. Whether that be on the road without giving up all the comforts of home or parked in a place you love. Easier Maintenance. A tiny house is easy to take care of. With less space to clean and fewer appliances to repair, tiny house owners can spend less time on chores and more on their work, hobbies, and relationships.
Kiwi Tiny Home is an online magazine dedicated to help inspire those considering a move to a tiny home and to encourage those already making the move. We provide stories of other people who have taken the leap of faith as well as provide you with a directory of resources to help you understand where to start and where to find the help and multitude of building materials and options you have. Have Fun.

Lisa was born in Auckland at the start of the 1970s, living in a small campsite community on the North Shore called Browns Bay. She spent a significant part of her life with her grandparents, often hanging out at the beaches. Lisa has many happy memories from those days at Browns Bay beach, where fish were plentiful on the point and the ocean was rich in seaweed. She played in the water for hours, going home totally “sun-kissed.” “An adorable time to grow up,” Lisa tells me.
Lisa enjoyed many sports; she was a keen tennis player and netballer, playing in the top teams for her age right up until the family moved to Wellington. Lisa was fifteen years old, which unfortunately marked the end of her sporting career. Local teams were well established in Wellington, and her attention was drawn elsewhere.
