CRANKWORX 2025: TWO STOPS, AFFORDABLE PASSES AND SOMETHING SPECIAL FOR FANS

Crankworx Summer Series Christchurch and Crankworx Rotorua Festival Passes on Sale Now

NEW ZEALAND | November 20, 2024 – Festival passes for the highly anticipated Crankworx Summer Series Christchurch and Crankworx Rotorua 2025 are officially on sale, with updates to both festivals designed to give back to fans, delivering the ultimate experience in mountain biking.

On his return to New Zealand to compete, Slopestyle athlete Nicholi Rogatkin shared his thoughts: “First and foremost, I'm looking forward to the support of the fans down in New Zealand. They always give us the best energy for the competition, and as it hosts the first competition of the season for Crankworx, it provides an exciting preview of the rest of the season and the insane things to come.”

Crankworx Rotorua Returns to 5-Day Format

Running from March 5-9 2025 Crankworx Rotorua returns to a Skyline Rotorua based festival. “This year, we’re focusing on giving back to our fans,” shares Event Director Ariki Tibble, speaking on the upcoming Rotorua festival. “We've condensed the festival to a five-day line-up, brought back the Downhill event to Skyline, packed the action into the weekend, and lowered ticket prices to make sure everyone can join without stretching their budget."

Fans can look forward to a revamped Downhill course on Mount Ngongotahā, making a comeback after a two-year hiatus. With all-new events packed into a shorter timeframe, the festival is designed to deliver ultimate value for spectators.

The new ‘Anytime Pass’ for Crankworx Rotorua makes it easier than ever for fans to catch the action, adding flexibility and affordability. Locals Days have been extended and will now run from Wednesday, March 5, through Friday, March 7.  "The new Anytime Pass for Rotorua is all about making it easy and affordable for everyone to experience the event. Our new price points are designed to keep more money in fans’ pockets, so they have more choice about where to spend their hard-earned dollars” Tibble adds.

Crankworx Summer Series Brings World-Class Action to Ōtautahi Christchurch with a New Zealand First Gold Cup Slopestyle Event

Crankworx Summer Series Christchurch will kick off the 2025 Crankworx World Tour from February 13–16, at a brand-new location: Christchurch Adventure Park. This year’s Summer Series promises four days of world-class action, featuring three internationally broadcasted events: Redemption Downhill, Pump Track Challenge and a New Zealand first - a Gold Cup Slopestyle event, as part of the FMBA Gold Cup. The event will unveil a brand-new Downhill course, Gold Cup Slopestyle course and head-to-head Pump Track, built specifically for the festival, all of which will cement a legacy for Christchurch with the support of Christchurch NZ and NZ Major Events.

Day passes are priced between $16 and $27, with multi-day options also available—an ideal gift for the holiday season. The festival will offer free entry on Thursday, February 13, and Friday, February 14 and offers Christchurch Adventure Park season pass holders free entry for the event duration, providing a unique opportunity for locals and alike to get a taste of the action.

With direct flights connecting Christchurch and Rotorua, 2025 offers an unparalleled opportunity to experience both Crankworx festivals in one seamless adventure.
