Whittaker’s indulges fruit lovers with two new Artisan Collection flavours
Whittaker’s is delighted to bring back two fruit lovers’ favourites, Raspberry & New Zealand Strawberry 100g, and Gisborne Orange & Hazelnut 100g, now showcasing local ingredients, as part of its core New Zealand Artisan Collection.
The two blocks offer enticing flavour and textural experiences; Whittaker’s Raspberry & New Zealand Strawberry features beautifully tart raspberry in decadently rich 50% Dark chocolate with the subtle sweetness of strawberry, and Whittaker’s Gisborne Orange & Hazelnut features crunchy roasted hazelnut pieces in orange-infused 33% Creamy Milk Chocolate, for indulgence with a citrus twist.
Whittaker’s Chief Marketing Officer, Soraya Cottin, says the company is excited to add the flavours to its permanent range in response to feedback from Chocolate Lovers, and to further showcase local artisan producers.
“We’re proud to be local chocolate makers, and as part of that we love to highlight the best local producers and growers through our New Zealand Artisan Collection.
“As these flavours were so popular when we released them as limited edition blocks last year, we worked to identify local suppliers of the hero ingredients to bring them back permanently as part of our Artisan Collection,” says Soraya.
New packaging will align the blocks with the rest of the Whittaker’s Artisan Collection. Raspberry & New Zealand Strawberry, and Gisborne Orange & Hazelnut will look a little different to how fans remember it, but the taste and quality remains the same.
Soraya says the flavours will appeal to a wide range of Chocolate Lovers.
“We know there are plenty of fruit lovers who will be glad to have these flavours back, but they are so delicious that we think they’ll be enjoyed by all, from classic Chocolate Lovers to the most adventurous,” she says.
Like all Whittaker’s chocolate, they are made from beans-to-bar at its one factory in Porirua. They are also proudly palm oil-free and made with 100% Rainforest Alliance Certified™ cocoa beans.
“We’re looking forward to hearing from our Chocolate Lovers, both fans and first-time tasters, on what they think of the new blocks,” says Soraya.
